Erica Fleishman is Director of the Oregon Climate Change Research Institute (OCCRI) and Professor in the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences. Erica received a B.S. and M.S. from Stanford University and a Ph.D. from University of Nevada, Reno. Her research focuses on ecological responses to variability and changes in climate, land use, and other environmental attributes in the western United States. She participates in the science process for management of California’s San Francisco Estuary and is engaged in development of private-lands conservation plans consistent with the US Endangered Species Act. Erica is affiliated with the Southwest Climate Adaptation Science Center and regularly collaborates with resource agencies, industry, and researchers on diverse topics related to environmental stewardship and resilience.
