Research Theme: How melt water is routed on, through, and under glaciers. How glaciers affect streamflow and sea level rise on time scales of hours to centuries. The effect of climate on the mass balance of alpine glaciers. The micrometeorology over glacier surfaces and how it affects the energy balance of the ice surface.
