Research Theme: NEAR-Lab focuses on the modeling and analysis of electromagnetic and acoustic wave phenomenon to develop advanced signal processing techniques. Techniques are used to monitor environmental components such as salmon population, coral reefs and water resources. A research project funded by the Nature Conservancy (TNC) to use sonar to monitor coral reef habitats and associated fish populations is being extended to address climate change in particular.
