Research Theme: Mathematical and computational problems related to large-scale, high-resolution numerical modeling of ocean circulation. This modeling involves the solution of a system of partial differential equations that describes fluid flow. Present activity includes a collaboration with the Climate, Ocean, and Sea Ice Modeling project at Los Alamos National Laboratory, with the goal of producing a new numerical model of ocean circulation.
