Kathie Dello is the Associate Director of the Oregon Climate Change Research Institute and the Deputy Director of the Oregon Climate Service, which is the state climate office for Oregon. She is interested in working in the science/policy interface, and frequently visits and consults with local, state, and federal agencies around the region on a variety of climate and water issues. A bit of a weather nut, she is a go-to source on all things Oregon weather and climate. Kathie is a skilled climate communicator. She is featured often in the press and gives multiple talks around the region and country. Kathie maintains an active social media presence on her twitter account, @kathiedello.
She received a Bachelors in Atmospheric Science and Masters in Geography from the University at Albany (SUNY). She has completed most of the requirements toward a PhD in Environmental Sciences at Oregon State University. In her free time, Kathie likes to explore the Pacific Northwest, practice barre3, and gather around good food and drink.
