POTENTIAL IMPACTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON OREGON Oregon is a diverse state with a number of distinct ecosystems (high plains, alpine mountains, marine coasts, fertile valleys, etc.) and a wide variety of plant and animal species. Agriculture (both forestry and food crops) is an important industry in the state. As a result, climate change (especially changes in temperature and precipitation) could affect the state in a number of ways. See the associated links at the left to explore
how climate change may affect the state’s water resources, agricultural
and forestry industries, coastal and marine resources, and fish
and wildlife. |
